Purchase: I decided on this saddle for my young warmblood so I would be able to adjust the tree as he grew and muscled up. I found it on ebay for $750. It was used a couple of times and came with the wintec leathers, dust cover, the warranty, knee blocks, all the gullets and the gauge.
Likes: This saddle is extremely comfortable. I like being able to fit the the knee blocks to my comfort, the deep seat, the ability to have changed the gullet 3 times as the horse grew, knowing that my horse is comfortable and overall the saddle is well balanced and looks wonderful on. Also if you want to have the wool flocking adjusted so the air panels sit more level it is a simple task for a saddle repair shop.
Dislikes: There is not one thing I do not like about this saddle. I have owned 5 or six dressage saddles, shown and ridden dressage for about 20 years and have nothing to complain about.
Quality: The construction and quality of the saddle is truly amazing. There was a lot of thought put in to its design and I feel that nothing was overlooked. The accessories designed to go with this are perfect. Using the equisuede leathers prevents wear.
Summary: I think this saddle is appropriate for the beginner to advanced rider. It is perfect for showing, schooling and even a trail ride. I feel that if you buy one and it does not sit perfectly you can get the panels fitted. You never have to worry about buying a new saddle every time your horse grows because you can change the gullet. I have a 17.3 hand Belgian/TB cross with a huge back and I disagree with it not being wide enough thru the back. I have plenty of room.
