Purchase: I purchased it from SmartPak Equine because I've loved Kensington products for a while. I received it as a gift but the going price on SmartPak is $38. I wanted it because I love to get new saddle pads and this one received many good reviews.

Likes: The textline holds up well, the bottom of the pad doesn't get very dirty or collect extra hair during shedding season. I love the look of the pad in general and it can match my other halters/tack.

Dislikes: It places my saddle higher up on my horse, so I have to adjust the girth from my "normal" holes to make up for the difference; this is the only pad I've ever had that's done this (out of 5 or 6). Every time I ride in it the pad slips down and causes a lot of pressure on my horse's withers no matter how high I try to pull it so it can't; the slipping happens while riding even with the use of stirrup holders and the girth holder.

Quality: It's a good quality pad, if I used it as much as I had hoped it seems like it would hold up well. After about a week's worth of riding it still looks brand new.

Summary: I wish I never bothered buying the pad, I feel uncomfortable using it because of the way it puts pressure on the withers and that it changes the way the saddle sits on the horse. Maybe I'm the odd one out too since everyone I talked to and read loved Kensington pads, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it.
