Purchase: I bought this saddle used through an acquaintance for $900. I had been schooling dressage (from the jumpers) for a few years and decided that if I was going to show and take it seriously, I should invest in a saddle.

Likes: This saddle was an excellent transitional saddle for a rider moving from a hunt seat saddle. The seat is just deep enough and the blocks just high enough to help the rider adjust to the new seat without getting in the way.

Dislikes: Now that I've transitioned, I've sat in a few more saddles and realize the seat isn't quite deep enough. I'm schooling third level and wish I had more seat room as well as a thigh block to get under.

Quality: Decent construction. The leather could be suppler - I'm seeing wear behind the calf and hairline cracks at the twist, despite cleaning and conditioning.

Summary: Bottom line: A good value, especially for a transitioning rider or the eventer.
