Purchase: I purchased this saddle VERY lightly used from a woman who had only ridden in it twice. Only had one light scratch on it. She could have told me it was new and
I would have believed her! She was selling due to a medical condition for $800. She had paid over $1,100 a few months prior.
Likes: VERY comfortable. Seat padding is fantastic.I feel like I can ride for days in comfort. Lots of tie rings to carry whatever you want. Fleece is holding up great. I'm a heavier female rider and the saddle helps me hold my seat very well. Knees never hurt, feet never go numb. Really pretty saddle. Always the nicest in the trail group.
Dislikes: Really heavy. Had to buy a wither pad for my quarter horse that is built more like a TB. The tree was a little wide for him but then again it is set on full QH bars (5 in cantle). But even with the pad he still has no pressure points on his back. Fits my "stocky" QH great. Sat forward before the wither pad on my thinner horse now I sit more centered.
Quality: Leather is still a little stiff after a riding about once a week for a year and the horn is coming a little loose but I think I dropped it.But over all good quality. I'm really rough on saddles and its holding up fairly well.
Summary: Over all very happy with the saddle. My friend had bought cheaper saddles her whole life and after riding in mine made the remark that she didn't know saddles could be that comfortable and would never ride in a cheap saddle again, then purchased the same one!! Comfortable for rider,but better for wider horses.
