Manufacturer: Blue Ridge
Model: Barrel Saddle
Category: Barrel Saddles
Purchase: This saddle came with a barrel horse we bought for our daughter starting out in 4-H. It was probably several years old then, and we've had it for about 20 years.
Likes: It has held up beautifully and with very little upkeep, although we did replace billets and stirrup leathers. It is a very comfortable saddle that feels like it holds you in place and is light weight which is great for everyday training.
Dislikes: It is somewhat plain with very little decoration. Not very eye catching but who cares?
Quality: The leather has always been somewhat stiff and of a lesser quality but has still held up. The seams remain intact and the tree is good. Overall excellent quality or it wouldn't have lasted this many years.
Summary: One of my favorite saddles out of the Simcos, Big Horns, Tex Tans and other big name brands. I would buy Blue Ridge again, they are great saddles for the price.
