Purchase: I ordered this unit in fall of 2008 online from a reputable catalog after reading good reviews on this webpage. The bridle cost $100 and the reins cost $50. I have always found all levels of the Miller's line to be well represented & of good quality. I even have a well used 10 year old made in India Lancer's (Miller's) brand padded event bridle that I would never part with! I have received many complements on this old bridle at shows. Unfortunately, it's cob size & I need a full size black bridle for local dressage shows.
Likes: There is absolutely NOTHING that I like about this bridle or it's matching flat reins with grips and stops.
Dislikes: IT SCREAMS: 'CHEAP LEATHER MADE IN INDIA'! I would be afraid to rely on this poor quality leather, I believe it would break if put under any stress whatsoever. The leather is dry, stiff, thin and a very narrow in width.
Quality: The stitching is evenly spaced & straight.
Summary: I refuse to shell out a lot of money for a decent bridle with reins & have to deal with scrubbing leather tack. I am going synthetic. I ordered a Wintec padded flash bridle with matching reins.
