Purchase: I bought this used off of an online tack site. I paid $800 for it. I was looking for a saddle that I could show in reining as well as local level APHA shows in Western Pleasure.
Likes: I cannot, CANNOT get over how comfortable this saddle is. It is the best riding saddle I have ever been in and that is saying am lot. I have owned many top brand name saddles and this one beats them all in comfort. It is also a very cute looking saddle and not too horrible as far as weight/bulk. The tooling is beautiful, too.
Dislikes: The silver is Montana Silver on the conchos, but I don't know what the silver is on the pommel. It is not as good of quality as the Conchos, that is for sure. However, I did buy this saddle used, so it could be that this silver was replaced at some point with cheaper silver. There are also a few nails missing on the questionable silver.
Quality: Very good craftsmanship. I have no complaints with the quality other than the odd silver pieces on the pommel. The stitching has held up very well, with hard use. The saddle looks like new and I have taken it through the ringer and back. It also fits my horse like a glove. The tree is wonderful on this saddle. I am impressed and never want to own another brand other than Rocking R. In fact, I am about to buy their new show reiner.
Summary: Great saddle for a GREAT price.
