Purchase: I bought this saddle at Used-Saddles.com for $1595 because I wanted a monoflap eventing saddle.
Likes: The leather on this saddle is really nice, it's not as sticky as some of French saddles, but it does not show every scratch like they do either. The seat is really soft and nicely balanced. I love how light this saddle is - less than 10lbs. Nice wide gullet and slim panels that are very comfy for the horse. Also it has a narrow twist which I like. I rode in two different Devoucoux Chibertas and neither fit a well as this one did in the twist.
Dislikes: I have a really long femur and the flaps on the model that I have are not forward enough. The problem may have been that it was a 17" seat and I really need an 18", hard to tell because I was never lucky enough to find this saddle again used in a larger size.
Quality: I think this saddle is extremely well made. It looks a bit like a Devoucoux but even new, this cost less than a new French saddle. It is extremely lightweight, but still very strong. Billets hold up well.
Summary: If you want a good quality monoflap jumping saddle that is in the mid-price range, this is a really nice option.
