Purchase: Purchased from Downunder Saddles in Denver. This model was on clearance for $490 due to some very slight dye imperfections.
Likes: I really like this saddle! I bought the model with out the horn. I wanted a saddle for my propane-tank of a Mustang and sent Downunder a wither tracing via fax. They matched it to this model and lo and behold it Does fit!! Its very comfortable to ride in, has an almost dressage feel to it and has the poleys to help when things get a little "western"! I like the fleece panels and the shorter skirts or my short backed horse.
Dislikes: I was a little skeptical about both fit and the make. I had a Downunder Legend and it was fabulous. I (ahem) needed a bigger seat size tho' and couldn't afford the Legend this time. The leather is not quite the quality of their Downunder series, but actually does break in nicely. Fit is just slightly tight in the shoulders, but unless I go custom, its what I deal with. I use a very thin pad with it.
Quality: Construction is better than I expected. I got the model in black leather and the off-dye areas are vrtually un-noticeable. Great deal! I like the fleece panels for fit. I use wintec webbers and endurance stirrups and there is NO bulk under my thighs at all. Comfortable ride. Fairly deep seated.
Summary: I really like this saddle and have had some longer rides in it, "pony" and I both seem comfortable. It also fits another of my horses and thats a plus! I use a breast collar on it and plan to buy a crupper for mountain rides.Yes, you can post in this!
