Purchase: The time comes when all kids outgrow their ponies and saddles. I was glad and sad that I had to give up my worn out Stubben and search for a new saddle. We first searched through our faithful tack store Crawford's Saddlery. After much help from the nive clerk I settled my bum on a $495 Courbette saddle.
Likes: The fact that I have long legs makes finding a saddle very hard, but this saddle fits me like a glove. It's simple but has a proffesional luster to it when given a cleaning. My 'bad quality' fears were put to rest when I found out that it was made in Germany. It has a wide tree and can fit any school horse that it's plopped upon.
Dislikes: The only downside to the saddle is quite minor. When first trying it on my mare my only girth wouldn't fit because the girth straps on the saddle were to short. I ended up having to buy a longer girth(the fact that the girth cost sixty dollars didn't excite my parents).
Quality: It is a basic brown saddle with a rounded back and longer sides. The quality is wonderful and it hasn't given me any trouble. I can show in it or simply ride to the river when ever I like. the leather is supple and comfortable to sit on.
Summary: This saddle is one of my smarter investments and I think it makes the perfect saddle for any level of rider.
