Purchase: I purchased these leathers in the color Newmarket from ebay for about $60 - a steal for such quality leathers. My last pair, some cheap HDR brand, were falling apart, cracking, and stretching badly. I needed a quality pair of stirrup leathers so I opted for Courbette.
Likes: As expected, the leather quality is exceptional. They were so easy to break in and comfortable that I was able to ride in them for the first time at a horse trial and, unlike many pairs of leathers that felt incredibly stiff, they felt wonderful. They took oil beautifully to break them in and darken them and are incredibly soft. The stainless steel fittings are strong and durable. Very nice leathers for the price, I doubt I'll ever buy another brand of stirrup leathers.
Dislikes: The color of the leathers was bright orange I got them - didn't even come close to matching my saddle which is more of a dark chestnut color. However, with several coats of neatsfoot oil, they have darkened to almost the exact shade. I think with some more use and oil they will be perfect.
Quality: Beautiful quality leather and stainless steel buckles. Regular 52" length with Courbette stamp on the end of the leather.
Summary: Awesome quality leathers for the price. I'm going to continue trying and buying Courbette saddle fittings, and I have full confidence these leathers will last me a long time!
