Purchase: I got this sheet off Legacy Tack's website I believe, for $45. I really needed a waterproof/breathable sheet for my new horse for the winter, as his winter blanket he came with was wayy too heavy. I chose the Saxon because of the price and I liked the pretty sky blue color. I wasn't sure how long it'd hold up, being such a low price, but having little money, I bought it anyway.
Likes: I LOVE this sheet. It is a beautiful sky blue color that looks handsome on any horse. While only 600 denier, it is super high quality, after using it for two years in a row with a rough playing horse (and a horse who loves to rip blankets next door), it's never ripped! It's extremely waterproof and very breathable It's never rubbed my narrow chested Arab either, which is great. Though it can be a pain to clean, I like the cotton lining, I think it's a nice lining for the horse-I would rather have a cotton shirt than nylon any day!
Dislikes: The leg straps are full nylon (no elastic) and aren't detachable. Also, I had to rewaterproof it after two years, but then, that's a pretty long time to stay waterproof! The color has faded as well, turn a much lighter blue than when i bought it.
Quality: It's a 600 denier light weight sheet, with a cotton lining and nylon lining the shoulder. It's very high quality, very durable and quite waterproof, rain storm after rainstorm. The outershell is very easy to clean.
Summary: This is an awesome sheet, I love it! It really is durable, high quality and good looking. The fact that it fits a narrow horse makes it even better!
