Purchase: I purchased this saddle online from Crestridge Saddlery. I was looking for a trail saddle to fit my very hard to fit small haflinger mare that would also fit me and be comfortable on the trail. I paid $1510 including customization of the stirrup fenders.
Likes: I like everything about the saddle. It is lightweight yet all beautifully hand-tooled leather. It is very comfortable to ride in for miles with a deep seat and is very well fitted to my horse.
Dislikes: There isn't anything I don't like about the saddle.
Quality: I am not an expert but have tried many saddles on my mare. In comparison to other saddles I have tried I would rate the Ovation right up there at the top. The Crestridge Ovation appears to be very well constructed and of very good quality leather.
Summary: I have spent several years looking for a comfortable, quality saddle for my hard to fit haflinger. Debra & her staff at Crestridge were wonderful. They took the time to fully explain and answer all of my questions and even customized the saddle fenders for me for a very small additional charge. I love my little "Haffie' but this is the first time I have found a saddle that is the perfect fit for both of us. Crestridge's motto is "this saddle will fit" and it does!
