Purchase: I acquired this saddle through VTO Saddlery via their website. I bought it for a steal at only $375, as they were having an "end of summer" special on certain saddles. Even when you don't catch them on sale, the price is still reasonable - I've seen them anywhere from $500-$700 when not on sale.
Likes: The saddle is comfortable to ride in for just about any length of time. The seat is padded nicely and it helps me to stay centered in the saddle and maintain proper positioning. It fits my Quarter Horse very well also, which can be tough sometimes with stock horses. It's nice enough to be used as an all around saddle - I use it to school, trail ride, and show.
Dislikes: The only thing I can think of that I didn't like about this saddle was the fact that I didn't have a girth long enough the first time I put it on my horse. I didn't take into consideration the difference in billet length between a CC saddle and an all purpose saddle. Other than that I have no complaints!
Quality: You can't find many saddles of this quality for the price they're selling at. The leather is both soft and supple, no marks or wrinkling in the leather at all - even across the seat. It's comfortable enough to ride in for five minutes or five hours.
Summary: I am happy that I purchased this saddle and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, good quality saddle. This saddle is at the top of my list whether I'm just schooling, trail riding, or showing.
