- Horse.com advertises the pad as 1 1/4 inch thick, double layer fleece. I e-mailed them asking if it was just fleece or had a foam lining as 1.25" seemed thick for just fleece. It took them a week to respond, by which time I had gone ahead & ordered to use the 10% discount before it expired. They told me it had a foam/fiber center: lie, it is just fleece & only 1.25" if fully fluffed. I squished down to less than 1/2". This is what I was looking for anyhow, so that was not a problem, but I resent being lied to. They should honestly answer the question, not just say what they think the person wants to hear. And it should not take a week.
- What did upset me was that on entire edge is unfinished. The fabric is not turned under & sewn as on every other fleece pad I've used, there are just 2 raw edges of fabric sticking out about 1-2 inches from the final seam. I thought I got a defective pad, but BOTH of the pads I bought had an unfinished seam.
I can sew, so I can fix them, but don't think I should have to. I'd not like I ordered a pair of pants & asked for them to be unhemmed.

Summary: Probably half of my disappointment is with horse.com for their dishonest representation of the product. But even if they had told me it was an unlined double fleece pad & the 1.25" would compress to less than 0.5", the lack of quality in an unfinished side on 2 pads would have made me give ti a poor rating.
