Purchase: I purchased this halter through Camptown Harness Co. for $30. I needed sturdy new halters for my Arab and Warmblood because the regular cordura halters were not cutting it. The regular halters would slip around under the chin/throat and would minimize control.
Likes: I LOVE these halters! They have a buckle on the nose (like the European countries) and are FULLY adjustable. They come in a variety of colors (I got pink and blue), and you have the option of unbuckling the nose without sacrificing control while you bridle up your horse or if you want to groom your horse's head without the halter being in the way. You don't have to take the whole halter off and tie it around your horse's neck, which is dangerous. The material is TOUGH and is easy to care for: just simply water it down and be done with it.
Dislikes: I wish I would have gotten black and brown colors. The blue is nice, but the pink is too neon BRIGHT and kind of goofy colored LOL. But they are good halters and DO look stunning on my horses when they wear them.
Quality: These halters are synthetic. The material is soft and pliable so that it accommodates your horse's curves. They fit like gloves because they are adjustable and the throat latch is rolled. They come in a wide variety of colors, but I would recommend black and brown for the regal look. The nose has a buckle with holes to make things easier as far as grooming/tacking up/adjusting fit goes. They are easy to care for and require little upkeep. They are HAND-MADE to order by the Amish, which is cool and you know you're getting quality!
Summary: I would HIGHLY recommend this halter for everyday use! High quality Amish-made halters that you and your horse will surely love!
