Purchase: I purchased from Tractor Supply, somewhere around $80
Likes: I did research and due to the reviews here and on horse forums, decided this was what I needed. My problem is two-fold: round back horse (too fat!) and I am short and have trouble mounting. I trail ride some real rough trails and have had real problems with slippage. This pad does not slip! I have ridden it for six hours, through a river, up and down steep hills and it did not slip. No problems with it rubbing the horse and the next day, my horse did not have a sore back at all.
Dislikes: A bit pricey; I never pay full price. I usually buy at auctions or try to buy used but this was exactly what I was looking for. At first I thought it was too big, to do over again I would buy the 30 x 30.
Quality: Good quality and I am picky about my tack as I have been riding for 40+ years. The colors are stunning.
Summary: The pad works the way it says it should and keeps the horse's back from being sore. Yes, I would buy again and I recommend to all my friends.
