Purchase: Purchased saddle online at www.MontanaMountainHorse.com for $695.00 which included an upgrade to a thicker "mock wool" fleece, Montana Silver slotted conchos, 4 saddle strings front and rear, the inskirt 3 way rigging and rear rigging hung from the tree. Had a tough to fit QH horse for whom I could not find an "off the shelf" saddle!
Likes: I LOVE this saddle!! Awesome construction, top quality! Very lightweight and comfortable...only 18 lbs which works great because I have shoulder issues. Gorgeous!! I got to pick the leather color, cordura color, seat color and tooling--I don't know of any saddle maker that gives you this many choices. And, best of all--IT FITS MY HORSE!! Not sure what the other gal that gave the bad review is talking about. I tried two trees and we determined that my horse had to have an "in between tree" that was wider than a standard Full QH and smaller than draft tree...and Montana Mountain Horse built the tree and sent it out to me to try on my horse before they built the saddle. It was the tree that my saddle was built on and I agreed that the $125 tree deposit was not refundable IF I didn't have the saddle built, but they definitely do let you try the tree before they build the saddle!! And they apply the deposit to your saddle price when you elect to have the saddle built. Also, my rep let me leave off the standard stirrups and go with the ProTuff Endurance stirrups (also purchased from Mountain Horse, Inc.)...which I highly recommend.
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: Excellent. Again...don't know what that other gal was talking about. Excellent workmanship, excellent quality. Made in the USA--which was a selling point for me.
Summary: Not only would I buy another saddle from www.MontanaMountainHorse.com, I ALREADY DID!! Best customer service I have found on the web, hands down. These folks actually reply to your emails and phone calls in a timely manner...and are very accommodating.
