Purchase: I purchased this item from Jeffers Vet supply for $35 (breastplate, cob size) and $15 (standing attachment). I've had it about 5 years. I primarily do endurance, I wanted one that wouldn't rub and I wanted one that was lightweight and easy to care for. Also, the extreme expense of the endurance synthetic tack prevented me from trying a more traditional endurance breastplate/strap

Likes: It does not rub, is easy to clean, and it is very lightweight. It has held up well with continual, tough use, and still looks good. It is much lighter in weight than the endurance types---and much less expensive. I'm very glad I didn't shell out tons of cash for a "real" endurance breastplate. This one will do the job much cheaper! It hasn't slipped, and has done a great job of supporting my hill climbs...and I've never noticed my horses being sore, even though it isn't quite as wide as traditional synthetic ones. My sis-in-law has the same one, and she's also glad she went this route rather than an endurance breastplate

Dislikes: I do wish it was a bit wider, or that they sold a "wide" version. Also, the cob size will fit full-sized horses and is a bit too big to be cob sized...has to be adjusted all the way down and holes punched for most Arabians. The standing attachment needs to be much longer with more adjustment holes. I don't even have it in a hole...just pulled all the way through to give it more length. It would NOT fit a long-necked horse at all.

Quality: Very good quality and well made. Has held up with extensive use, and still works well

Summary: Glad I got it, much better investment than the other endurance breastplates due to cost and weight issues. I sincerely do wish that the standing attachment was longer.
