Purchase: I ordered this Masta blanket from Dover Saddlery in late winter 2006.
Likes: I really like the quality of this medium weight turnout. The stitching is all very tight, and I believe this turnout has several more years of life in it! I got it in 2006 and it still looks brand new! And while my other turnout got a huge rip in it, this one remained in perfect condition. It fits my hard to fit Thoroughbred very well! And has yet to rub his massive shoulders! It's also well padded in the whither area.
Dislikes: I do not like how this turnout still seems a bit too heavy weight. Though I live in Indiana and we we tend to have long snowy winters, if my thoroughbred plays in his field at all, he is covered in sweat! This is not because it's not cold, as this happens when snow is completely covering the ground + high winds! :/
Quality: This blanket is made very well as described above!
Summary: Overall this is a wonderful blanket! Great for thoroughbreds, clipped horses, and those older horses. I highly recommend this for those of you who have an older horse, or horse who doesn't constantly run laps in their field!
