Purchase: While surfing the internet one evening looking for a saddle or saddle company hoping to find a saddle to fit both my Paso Fino and myself, I came across Sycamore Creek Saddles. Checking it out I read that you could have a saddle hand made to fit you and your horse by sending Tony Pritchett measurements of your horse and your pant size and inseam length. He shows you on the web sight how to measure your horse. We talked on the phone to be sure that he had all of the info correct for me and my horse. Being the exclusive sales rep. here in the states, he then sends the info to the manufacturer and they make the saddle to specks. Result is a saddle that fits my Paso and me for $523.00 total. I received my saddle in about 3 weeks and was very pleased with the workmanship and the grade of leather.
Likes: I like this saddle it's made to fit me and my horse. The saddle is easy to handle and put on the horse. I could choose from several colors of leather. It is made of real leather not fake stuff.
Dislikes: Still looking for something.......
Quality: This saddle is light and well made with a wooden tree set to the measurements that I gave to Tony, sales rep. The saddle is put together very well and the grade of leather is good quality. I really like the girth and the nylon cinch straps,they are ridged so they do not slip. The stirrups are made to face front to back other than flat against the side. The seat is very comfortable with memory foam padding. It is a very secure feeling saddle when riding.
Summary: Rio is a horse that doesn't really want anyone on his back so I wanted to make him and me as comfortable as possible and me as secure as possible while we work through the problem. After riding in the saddle for an hour without getting off to adjust the cinch or give us a rest I knew that I had made a good buy.
Working with Tony at Sycamore Creek Saddles, to make sure that everything was right as far as Rio's measurements and mine, was a pleasure. Ordering and paying for the saddle was made so easy, all was done online with no problems at all.
