Category: Dressage Saddles
Purchase: I bought this second hand for $800.
Likes: I live the leather of this saddle. The tree construction is also remarkable as it is made for wider horses. The part that sits on the horse's back is soft and cushy. My horse moves beautifully in this saddle, as his shoulders are free to extend and reach. He is a wide TB with a fair and growing top line.
Dislikes: This saddle features the extra deep seat and I don't like the feeling of being "locked in" or "confined". I am a x-country rider first and foremost, and the twist is a medium rather than a narrow. I don't like not feeling him under me.
Quality: Construction and quality for the price are pretty good. Nice leather, solid stitching--a really pretty saddle.
Summary: If the seat wasn't so deep, I would keep it. My horse loves it, but I will continue looking until I am satisfied for both me and my horse.
Usefulness Rating: 2.58333 out of 5.
