Likes: I bought them to prevent and help treat mud fever as I believe the secret lies in getting the legs really dry which they do very effectively. They are easy and quick to fit when the horse comes in at night and offer comfort and protection in the stable. They also help prevent 'filled' legs.
They are very versatile and I also use them for travelling. If I wash the horse's legs before leaving home they will be pretty much dry by the time I get to the show or lesson, it saves loads of time washing and bandaging white socks!
Dislikes: You do have to sort of 'mould' them to the horses leg and do them up quite firmly or they can slip. Once you have the hang of putting them on they are really easy to use.
When you wash them you have to do up the velcro or it sticks to everything!
Quality: Very simple square of knitted fabric with a non stick covering. They fasten with three velcro straps and mine are still wearing well several years on.
