Purchase: I received this helmet as a gift. They can be ordered from Dover Saddlery for about $65.
Likes: This helmet fits me better than any helmet I have had before. It is so comfortable I can hardly tell I am wearing it. I also like the Flip-Fold Fit pad system, which makes it very easy to adjust the size quickly. The matte Duratec finish is attractive. I think this helmet looks better than many on the market.
Dislikes: You still get a little bit of the mushroom-head look, but I think this is inevitable with approved helmets.
Quality: The construction and quality are very good. Troxel makes ASTM/SEI certified safety helmets.
Summary: I really like this helmet. I think it is so important to have a properly fitting and comfortable helmet. If the helmet is comfortable the rider is more likely to wear it, and their head stays protected!
