Purchase: Bought them at Greenhawk (Ontario, Canada) on sale for $69.99, reg. $79.99 CND.
They are middle of the price range from Greenhawk and their own brand.
Likes: I love the colour selection of these breeches and the front quality hook closure & YKK front zipper that stays closed. The zippered pocket is nice for a car key or change. Also I prefer the ankle hook & loop tap that you can tighten it as needed. The carino knee patches are of generous size and securely stitched. The waste band is wide and comfortable. They are a 15 oz cotton blend with lycra for stretch.
Dislikes: I found them only in LONG and I am 5'3" so they didn't fit as well as a regular length, they bunched at the ankle. The rise also seemed a bit long for my height and build and I kept having to hike them up. They seem generously sized as I took a whole size smaller than my other brand breeches. They have started to bag a little in the leg.
Quality: I found them pilling after only 2 one hour rides on the inner leg and some stitching seems messed up by the manufacturer down the outside of the leg after I took a good look at them.
They don't seem quite as good quality as others I've bought for the same price when I comparing them side by side to my old breeches. Basically, not as thick or tightly woven knit.
Summary: I'm really not sure if I'd buy them again. Maybe... Perhaps good for schooling but if you want to show in them keep them a side special for that purpose.
