Dislikes: I purchased three of State Line’s own heated buckets. I filled the bucket, plugged it in and the next morning the bucket was empty and there was a hole on the bottom. The hole was about the size of a half dollar or so. Around the hole were teeth marks clearly made by the horse playing with the hole. Customer service informed me that they would not stand behind this item since there was evidence of teeth marks. Which came first, the hole or the teeth marks? I don’t know, but seriously doubt that this horse sucked down a full 5 gallons in 6 hours and then was able to punch a half dollar sized hole in the bottom of the bucket. I find it much more likely that the heating element may have misfired, or the plastic was defective. I have had horses for many years and watered them from 5 gallon buckets all of those years – I have not had but one bucket fail during that time – the State Line heated bucket. I purchased this item because it was cheaper than the others – I clearly got what I paid for
Quality: I believe the construction was faulty on this unit - we will see on the other 2.
Summary: Very disappointed in the product and surprised that State Line Tack will not stand behind the unit. Because there were teeth marks on the bucket, they will not replace it. But did offer me a great deal of 5% off my next order. Grrrrr.
