Purchase: I bought this saddle in 2006 from Dover Saddlery (LOVE THEM). I paid $995.00 and that included the entire "easy change" gullet system.
Likes: I have been riding day in day out for 18 years. I am the director of a riding school/breeding/training program. I have owned EVERYTHING from no mane saddles to custom fit Devacoux. This saddle gives you the most bang for buck i have ever seen. The leather is supple when it first arrives and there is minimal break in time (there is no such thing as 0 break in time). It is extremely well balanced and puts your leg in a nice correct position. The seat is suitable for flat work but doesn't get in your way for jumping. The knee rolls are a nice small "pencil" size so they give you what you need. Its not only a well balanced and fitting saddle (the easy change gullet system is PRICELESS) but its also beautiful and classic. Buy it, you won't regret it.
Dislikes: Its most defiantly not suited for the higher level cross country course, i made that mistake and almost went for a swim :).
Quality: Top notch for the $1000 to $2000 range.
Summary: Buy it. If you are a college student or in a situation where your horse is growing or you are riding lots of different horses this is the saddle for you. I will not own another saddle without the easy change gullet system.
