Purchase: I purchased these stirrups from www.MontanaMountainHorse.com after hearing so many endurance riders and trail riders mention they liked the bigger stirrups with pads. I paid $25.45 plus shipping.
Likes: I wondered what the big deal was...until I tried them. The extra padding on the stirrups is incredibly comfortable. It absorbs the shock of every step your horse takes (and I ride REALLY rough terrain--mountains and foothills) and makes your ride so much more comfortable. Easier on your joints, knees, lower back...even your neck. And all that from just some padding under your foot!! I have wide feet too...and had never realized that the reason my feet hurt after riding 6-8 hour trail rides was not my boots, but my STIRRUPS. The wider, deeper tread depth gives me room to rest my whole ball of my foot on the stirrup without pressure on the inside. I took off the rest of the stirrups on the rest of the my saddles and purchased the Pro Tuff Endurance stirrups for all of them.
Dislikes: I like them...they are a little plain and only come in black, but for trail riding and getting on and off with sometimes muddy,wet feet, that's okay!
Quality: Great construction. I was worried about the pads lasting...and I think rinsing them off occasionally is a good idea...but they have held up really well so far.
Summary: Great inexpensive product that can make the difference between a comfortable and uncomfortable ride. WELL WORTH the price. Try 'em...I think you will like them!!
