Purchase: I was lucky to be searching for a new blanket when this was originially released last fall. The suggested retail was to be around $60 but I got it for $50 from State Line Tack's website.
Likes: I have always been a fan of canvas duck sheets and blankets because they are water resistant without constantly having to treat them. This blanket wa no different. It's got a cut out at the withers so no need to worry about rubbing. My horse has higher withers too so that was always a concern.
Dislikes: So far so good! I've had this blanket for almost 6 months and no complaints. I'm still rating it a 4 because nothing is perfect.
Quality: The outer layer is a water-resistant canvas outer and it has a nylon lining. you can tell that the stitching is reinforced to reduce or possibly eliminate rips and tears. Like most blankets, it has 2 front buckle closures, a belly surgicle and rear leg straps.
Summary: Where I live it doesn' get cold enough for a heavy winter blanket so this is just right. Nice for cooler evenings or when it's raining and damp outside. Gives the perfect amount of warmth and protection for cooler weather at a good price.
