Purchase: Purchased from a friend and paid only about $250 for a $1000 saddle. I am shopping for another.
Likes: I like the way the saddle fits the horse. I ride numerous different horses and it fits them all. The comfort level seems approved by the horse and I know the concussion to the rider is merciful. It is such a comfortable and secure saddle to ride with a cantle and high back. The leather has worn well with lots of miles put on it, I've worn smooth the rough out. All seems and stitching are in tact after 10 years of use. It looks good enough to show in and I have several times.
Dislikes: I don't think there is anything I don't like. Maybe it would be great to do the saddle in a lightweight cordura type fabric.
Quality: This saddle is well constructed and has held up well in 10 years. The saddle horn has had plenty of use and there are no loose parts on the saddle or split seems, or loose threads. A well built quality saddle.
Summary: Once I rode the treeless I wouldn't want to ride anything else. I have traded horses to let others ride the saddle and couldn't wait to get back in my own saddle. A saddle with a tree is out of the question for me. I can ride all day without being sore the next day. A baby boomers dream saddle!
