Purchase: I bought these boots at a tent sale in August 2007 at Rick's Heritage Saddlery. I paid approximately $80 for them.
Likes: I love the traditional look of the boots (I got the lace-up) and the fact that they break in quickly. They stand up to tough work and I have worn them on 16-hour show days without becoming uncomfortable.
Dislikes: The leather near the portion where the toe meets the rest of the boot is cracking, but that's probably because I subject these boots to lots of wet and muck. Given the chance, I'd probably have done some sort of waterproofing treatment.
Quality: The quality typical of Ariat products is available in the form of these economical boots! They will definitely stand up to your day-to-day work with proper treatment.
Summary: Buy these if you would like a good paddock boot at an affordable price.
