Purchase: I bought this saddle at Dover Saddlery in Hockessin for $699 on sale in April 2006. It was my first saddle, as I had been riding in the saddles of my school horses up until then.
Likes: The Circuit Elite is very comfortable and looks like a more expensive saddle! The color is very nice and classic, and it seems to fit most horses easily. The leather is soft and supple when treated properly.
Dislikes: A common complaint seems to be that the area where the stirrup leather sits loses color and rubs easily. I have experienced this problem - but before shows if I oil the saddle it does not seem to be a major cosmetic flaw. This may lower the saddle's resale value, though. It is hard to fit the stirrup leathers under the stirrup bar, but I do have the Pessoa leathers on the saddle so that might contribute.
Quality: You would mistake it for a much more expensive saddle! Definitely the right choice for a novice searching for that first saddle.
Summary: I would and have recommended this saddle to friends looking for a good but inexpensive saddle.
