Purchase: I found out about this saddle through my yahoo group. I was able to demo a saddle first at a very reasonable price. Abby at Saddling Solutions was very helpful and took the time to find out about my horse and our riding style. I had tried many different saddles before this one to try to find one that fit my small short backed sensitive arab mare. The price was around $1700 but worth every penny to finally have a saddle that we both love.
Likes: Quality and customer service and versatility. This saddle has many options to customize it for both horse and rider. Adjustable panels,different panel sizes, changeable pommels, 2 different stirrup positions and adjustable seat size are all options the Startrekk endurance offers.I have the endurance shorty,which offers a shorter base,but does not have the adjustable seat size option. Very well made from nubuck leather.it has a very short break in time. Soft,comfortable and a very close contact ride-you can really feel your horse very well in this saddle. Customer service is a big plus as well. Very secure to ride in.
Dislikes: Haven't found anything not to like about this saddle. My horse is happier,more responsive and has much smoother gaits. I have a very secure saddle to ride out those little arab "spooks".
Quality: Very well constructed from high quality nubuck leather, tight even stitching, really a beautiful saddle.
Summary: Pricey, but really worth it, especially if you have a hard to fit horse and are looking for a comfortable saddle for both horse and rider. All my friends who have tried it want one for their horses.
