Likes: I recently had a StarTrekk Dressage treeless for a week. I put lots of up and down trail miles as well as arena work. I give a two thumbs up for this saddle! Construction wise, it is made in Germany of high quality thick leather. For those of us who love a traditional look, one would be hard pressed to believe this is treeless. The panels are flocked and thick, thick, thick, giving my guy the best spine/wither clearance since pre-treeless days. I love that they are flocked and not foam. Sitting in this saddle over several days, I could feel it slowly softening, breaking in. The stirrup hangars put me in a very good position. It was extremely comfy. My horse had his ears fwd and was happy as can be every ride. I did not experiment with taking the plastic structural pieces out, but certainly love that as an option. In conclusion I would urge anyone who is looking for a dressage-type saddle to try this one.

Dislikes: Two things are keeping me from purchasing it though. One, I do way more trail riding than arena and feel like I need a bit more fwd flap than the relatively vertical flap of the Startrekk Dressage. Two is the price, it is out of my price range, but you can be sure I'll be on the hunt for a used one.

Quality: Thick, high quality leather, great, even stitches, high quality D's. Good strong billets.

Summary: I hear a new GP model is coming out. It'd be great with a few more D's. Maybe the price would be dropped a bit. Maybe they'll do a synthetic. I would buy that version in a minute...
