Purchase: I bought this from Stirrups, (Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand). I paid almost NZD$250 for both (bridle approx $150, and reins $100). I was wanting a nice mid-quality bridle for schooling etc
Likes: Finding a nice soft leather bridle in black with a plain noseband was not easy. I also liked the fact it was a medium weight with padding (so not too thin on my horse)
Dislikes: The bridle has not worn at all well regarding the dye.
Quality: I bought this in March 2008 (was not used over winter) and now its December and the dye is coming out so it is splotched black and brown. The collegiate name plate also shows wear. The bridle is not standing up to even fair wear and tear - given how little it has been used and it has been well looked after.
Summary: Am disappointed with the performance of this bridle and would not buy this brand again, my 10 month old bridle looks older then my 10 year old Rylee bridle.
I do look after my gear and use quality products to clean (Effax), and given it was not a cheap bridle I expected better.
