Purchase: My horse's back was sore. I went through 8 months of vet and chiropractic care, saddle fitters, and a number of saddles before I tried this saddle. I bought this saddle through a local tack shop. I trailered my horse to the shop where she was traced for saddle fit. The saddle arrived in about 2 weeks. I paid a little over $500.00.
Likes: This saddle fits my hard to fit Tennessee Walker. The saddle itself is very comfortable for me. The stirrup leathers are more like an English saddle and my 40 yr. old knees are more comfortable then a traditional western saddle. The seat is deep and I feel secure. The knee poleys help keep you in place. The saddle weighs approx. 23lbs. and is easier for me to lift.
Dislikes: There isn't anything I have found that I don't like.
Quality: I have owned this saddle for a little over a year. I ride on an average of 3 times a week. The leather is a good quality. All stitching and girth straps are in great condition. I've had one of the screws come loose and fall out of the brass plates that is used to secure a saddle bag. Other then that I have had no issues with the construction. In fact I get plenty of compliments out on the trail.
Summary: I don't think there is a better deal out there in getting a saddle fitted to your horses tracing then this. Her back problems are gone. This saddle got us out on the trails after months of back problems. I have been very happy with this purchase and plan to buy another when my yearling is ready.
