Purchase: I bought this chap at Triangle horse Sports. I chose the all around half chap for three reasons: It was made by ariat [my favorite brand], It looked nice and felt great, and It was at a good price. I paid about $90 for this chap, and I've seen it advertised for anything from $80- $100.
Likes: This half chap was made very well! I've ridden in it twice a week for about a year, and it doesn't show much wear. I have used in in rain and gotten mud smeared all over it- but it just keeps on working. The chap has held together well. No seams have come/ are coming undone.
Dislikes: After just my first or second ride in these the inside of the calf showed wear. Though this half chap can withstand mud, the suede seems to attract dirt and mud and I have yet to find a way to clean them. The elastic does form to my legs, but it stretches as well. I would reccomend getting the smallest size you fit into [calf-wise] if you buy this chap. The chaps just started to pinch my legs- right on top of my calf. I find myself pushing the chap down over and over again in order for the chaps not to pinch.
Quality: These chaps were made very well. They have held up with consistant use.
Summary: I would reccomend these chaps to someone who doesn't want to show in them. Though I had a lot of dislikes about the chap, they were a great buy and I think that they are worth the money I spent. I'm rating them a four because of how great a bargain they are.
