Purchase: I bought this at State Line Tack for $80 (I believe)two or three years ago. I needed a show quality helmet on a babysitters income and this was a good choice.
Likes: I liked that it was inexpensive yet worthy of the local shows I was doing. It has nice velvet and a satin liner. It also has vents that kept my head very cool.
Dislikes: I had first ordered a large(they only come in S,M, and L) but it was too big so I had to exchange it for a meduim. The SLT catalog showed the harness as a dark brown but when I got it, the harness was a light brown. I upgraded to a Charles Owens because it fit my oval head a little better and is a nicer helmet over all.
Quality: The construction is good. I had the helmet for about 2 years and it shows no sign of wear and tear. I've lugged it to lessons, on trail rides in the rain and in the sun, still looks the same. They have changed the look and now it is velveteen though.
Summary: This is a good helmet for a rider on a budget and one who doesn't do big shows or a lot of showing.
