Purchase: I got this bridle for Christmas from our local tack store. I paid about $50 for it. I needed a new bridle for my new thoroughbred gelding and this bridle looked good with his coat color (bay) and it fit our budget.
Likes: I really like the color of leather, it is a nice dark brown that matches many coat colors and looks good in the hunter ring. Also it broke in extremely fast.
Dislikes: The fit of the bridle is a little bit awkward. My thoroughbred has a typical horse/full sized head and although this is full sized it is on the last hole (smallest length) on everything except the throat latch where it is near the last hole.
Quality: So far the bridle is holding up well (no loose stitching or cracks). So I would say the construction is very good. As far as the quality of the leather goes you get what you pay for. The bridle isn't made of the nicest of leather but you can't tell when it's on your horse. Also it hasn't cracked but I don't expect it to last as long as an Edgewood bridle which will probably be on my Christmas list next year.
Summary: This bridle is good quality for the price and is a nice starter bridle. It looks good on the horse and in the show ring. But for a little more you could get a bridle with nicer leather and probably a better fit.
