Purchase: I was fortunate enough to have a Stateline Tack retail shop close to me at one point so I'd been able to sit in this saddle and feel the quality of the leather. So I took the chance and about stole this off of eBay for under $200!
Likes: The leather quality is really nice, very supple and lovely, but my favorite feature, well... it's a ladies' saddle. <G>
Some of us are decidedly curved in the posterior and the depth of the seat greatly affects our comfort.
Many AP and jumping saddles are flat and shallow in the seat, giving you a perched feeling but I love the feel of sitting in this saddle. It's like slipping on a pair of well-broken-in shoes. It offers good knee support for my less-then-perfect knees.
Additional, as the horse's fit is most important, the flocking is of nice shape for real horses, unlike most inexpensive saddles, and offers a good cushion-y quality. Really a under-valued saddle which can give someone a good value for the money they have to spend.
Dislikes: Nothing
Quality: Good stitching, seems like vegetable tanned leather.
Summary: Great value for the money for a woman's saddle, probably not a good fit for most teenagers!
