Purchase: Picked up 4 of these on EBay, boots had only one or 2 rides in them by previous owner. Paid 65 bucks for all 4-a steal!
Likes: Have a flatfooted Appy and they give the cushion and impact support that makes her ride better than when I put shoes on her. Really pleased with how they stay on-seem bulky and awkward but she moves very well with them on so I'm not complaining. No more ouchy choppy step walking, trotting or cantering.
Dislikes: The little plastic side clip covers-out of 8 I have 1 left-come off too easy. The boots work fine without them-the metal blunted grabs don't eat the hoof wall up. Once you get used to putting them on, which some people find a pain, they are great. I found if I use some hoof ointment on the bottom outer edges they go on easier. You just have to learn how to wiggle them to get them to go.
Quality: Built tough and sturdy I have yet to see one think about falling apart. I did rip the cloth gator band off one of them but it was my fault-the ride I was on came across about a mile of on and off deep sticky sucking clay mud-bad thick deep stuff-lost an easyboot-all I had left was the velcro pastern piece with a bit of the heel attachment dangling along. Am surprised I still had the other 3.
Summary: Great product, well made, would buy again.
