Dislikes: I bought one of these for a student's horse, but returned it immediately. The leather was good quality but very thick and stiff, but more problematic was the weight and size of soooo many buckles! It was just too clunky and heavy when it seemed it would be sleek and streamlined. For distance riding it seems to be very much too heavy, IMHO.
Quality: Leather is good but thick and stiff, buckles too many and too heavy for our intended use.

The reason to use a halter/bridle combo is for convenience and lightness over the long haul. This bridle was too heavy and stiff to be useful, and I would bet it weighs more than a rope halter and lead under a simple headstall.
