Purchase: I bought my saddle online and paid $450 used for it, in good condition.
Likes: This saddle is a very comfortable saddle in which you can ride in for hours. This saddle can fit many different types of horses. It is not a bulky saddle and can give a very good connection between horse and rider. It is deep enough to use for dressage yet you also jump in this saddle, because of the "spring seat". The leather is very nice and you can tell it was very well made for lasting 20-30 years and still have many years to come. This saddle can go many months without being cleaned, and then look excellent when just only wiping it off.
Dislikes: The gullet is supposedly a medium but it narrow, and pinches my horses withers. It also slips back after I ride a few cm, and gives him back pain.
Quality: The quality is EXTREMELY well and i'm sure this saddle looked fabulous when it was first made, as it still looks great now. The leather is very soft and nice.
Summary: Very good saddle, just a little hard to fit with the pinching withers. I probably would not buy this saddle again for another horse, but the saddle itself is wonderful, and Crosby's newer models are very good.
