Purchase: I bought this through Dover Saddlery for I think $67. I wanted to get a flysheet for my mare. I bought it probably in August at a closeout sale, so I used it for a little while but will begin using it next season.
Likes: I like the strength of the double locking mesh, but how it is still breathable. It comes with an attached neck that is smoothly lined over the mane. The shoulders are lined with this same material. The sheet comes in pony and horse sizes and has Freestyle features for better movement and comfort. The tail flap is long and smoothly lined. The sheet has an adjustable/removable belly wrap as well as leg straps and a double buckle chest. It came in "Faded Denim", which is basically a light blue. So I was also pleased that it came in my color.
Dislikes: First off, this flysheet was made in China. Deregulation over there has worried me for a while, but the flysheet seems okay so far.
Also, the trim around it is a bunch of random different-length strips!
The top (back seam) of this sheet is tight over my mare's back and withers, and when she puts her head down it is pulled ever tighter.
And finally, the neck cover has velcro which if it touches the mesh and you pull it off, frays the heck out of the sheet.
Quality: It is made out of double mesh with triple mesh at some reinforcement points and many Freestyle features. It is made by Weatherbeeta, a big international company.
Summary: This sheet seems to be tough but has a couple design flaws.
