Purchase: My horse sweats a LOT in the winter time! I needed a cooler that I could keep on her for longer periods of time, so it had to have surcingles and a chest closure. I bought this through one of Tuffrider's online retailers for around $60.
Likes: I love this cooler! It wicks away moisture and gets my girl dry. It is a soft polyester fleece. It has a touchtape front, a hidden surcingle, and a tailcord. It stays on well, and with my poofy girl I have left it on overnight. I think this would serve double as a blanket liner for really chilly weather. This cooler is shaped well and washes up nicely. I bought it in the "cashmere/chocolate" which is basically light blue with a brown 'block' (hence the name "Color Block") up at the chest and withers. It is really quite smart looking and comes in Candy's color!
Dislikes: Not much to complain about. It is around 2 years old and I've only had to restitch two small spots where the front closure started to separate from the fleece. It would be a nice added feature if the tail cord was snap-able instead of tied on.
Quality: A strongly made polyester fleece cooler by a well-known brand. Easy to use and safe to leave on your horse in their stall. Gorgeous looking with powerful wicking qualities, always "frosts".
Summary: I would most certainly buy the Tuffrider Fleece Color Block cooler again! I may get a second as back-up one day or for the Thoroughbred I train. Great quality, worth the price. Comes in other colors, too.
