Purchase: I bought this unit directly from the manufacturer. I paid $60, and the company was very helpful and easy to work with.
I was looking for a fancy show bridle for my horses, and the blue crystals/light oil leather matched my other tack perfectly!
Likes: The headstall is well made and is gorgeous! The light oil color matches many barrel saddle and is hard to find. The crystals are fake but that is not too noticeable. And, I know of no other headstall that contains light blue crystals! A very unique item... I have had SO many complements!
I just love the way this headstall looks on my horse. I got the full horse size, and its fits my 14.3hh Paint mare, my 15.1hh Quarter Horse (very cheeky!) and a 16.2hh Thoroughbred.
Dislikes: This item, being full horse size, does not fit a 14hh Arabian that I ride. It could have more holes to fit smaller horses.
The leather is also not fantastic quality, and it stains very easily. It is durable enough to last but is not top quality. It is not very flexible either.
Quality: The leather quality/crystal quality is not the best, but the headstall is put together very well. The stitching is tight and even, and has lasted many months of rigorous use without any of the crystals falling off.
Summary: I really do love the way this headstall looks. It is a nice item, but like I said it is not top quality. If you are looking for real crystals, I would suggest Weaver's Crystal Sensation Headstalls. Honestly, though, this is my favorite bridle and if you want unique style, I strongly recommend this!
