Purchase: I bought these from Dover Saddlery for $15. My horse needed more hoof protection, as he was continually pulling shoes. His hooves sometimes hit jumps as well.
Likes: The colors are very pretty! I love the light blue!
The rubber is also very strong. My horse has put these boots through hard use and the rubber has not ripped at all!
I also like how secure the velcro stays. The rubber layer that closes over the velcro keeps it from coming undone. The velcro is strong and is stitched on well.
Dislikes: The sizing! These bell boots come in strange sizes, medium being the smallest size. Since my horses are mediums in their leg boots, I ordered a medium in these bell boots. I probably should have ordered a large, because the were slightly small.
I think the company could make the sizing a little easier by making "small" the smallest size instead of "medium".
Quality: The bell boots are very well made and have held up for a while now. They are much better quality than any other bell boot I have tried, including the 'Davis' brand which falls apart quickly.
The bell boots have strong velcro and quality rubber that is stitched tightly and securely together. I have had them for 5 months of every-other-day use and they look as good as new!
Summary: These are great bell boots! They come in great colors and are made nicely. But, I would suggest ordering a size larger than your horse's normal bell boot size.
