Purchase: I believe this saddle was a close-out/demo saddle, but it looked like it was brand new. I paid the reduced price of $700 for it, but I think it normally goes for at least $1500. I had a choice between this saddle and a used Pessoa Limited Edition, but I chose this one because it was brand new and I was tired of buying used saddles.
Likes: So comfortable and it's exactly what they claim. I've tried quite a few saddles and I have to say it is one of the most comfortable saddles to sit in. They are known for their "Soft Seat" and I love the leather used too. It feels like soft french calfskin leather like you would find in an expensive French saddle. Even their knee pad is comfortable and "air-vented". I've had a few people notice and comment on how nice the saddle it is, but when I say the name they have no idea. It's a nice little known secret.
Dislikes: The main thing I didn't like about the saddle was I was disappointed when one brand of girth didn't fit onto the billet straps. The billets were alittle too wide. I had to buy a different girth anyway because my horse gained weight and it finally fit. I never had that happen before so it was unusual. The other thing I didn't like was my model didn't have the nice stitching around the flaps that most saddles do. I guess it's there for aesthetic purposes, but I prefer the fancy stitching even though it doesn't look bad without it. In fact I didn't even notice it was missing the stitching for a long while. The newer models now have it.
Quality: The saddle is very well made and balanced. They definitely used good quality leathers especially on the seat, panels and knee pads. I was very impressed and so were other people. The saddle is light and soft. If they did a blind test where they threw this saddle in with the finest French saddles you could never tell. That's how nice it is!
Summary: I highly recommend this saddle to anyone looking for a good quality saddle at a fair price. It's a well constructed American-made saddle that you can feel and see the quality. It's too bad there's a lot of people who still don't know about this company. If you can find a used one definitely give it a try. I've had mine for a year and it still looks almost new. It's a durable saddle.
