Manufacturer: Brunet Pinot (View all products by Brunet-Pineau)
Model: Chantilly (View all Chantilly reviews)
Category: Dressage Saddles
Purchase: I have 2. The first came from a tack shop for 1800. The second came from ebay for 1500, Each one was manufactured in 2000, I purchased them in 2006.
Likes: This saddle is not bulky but it is very soft to sit in. The knee blocks are of medium size, which I prefer to the large ones that are so popular today. These saddles place you in a nice upright balanced position, the rider does not fight this saddle. It is very easy to get your leg around the horse because of the monoflap. Riding in these saddles you feel very close to the movement of the horse.
Dislikes: They are no longer made! The leather is very fine calfskin, great to ride in because it is very soft and sticky, I just worry how long it will last. So far so good.
Quality: Fine craftsmanship, high quality leather .
Summary: If you can find one, buy one.
Usefulness Rating: 3.1875 out of 5.
