Manufacturer: Pegasus Equicare Inc.
Model: Pegasus Airboots
Category: Horse Boots and Wraps
Purchase: I bought my boots at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, in Toronto, Ontario. Our pony club was there and we saw the boots and listened to the sales person (actually the president of the company) do his talking, then we said we would think about it. We went back to that boot about 10 times trying to decide, he let us practice putting them on a plastic horse leg to see how easy it was and was really nice over all and when we decided (we all got a pair) he gave us a group discount! I think we paid $75.00 CAD.
Likes: The boot is light and my finicky horse doesn't even notice when I put them on. They fit well and don't slide down like some of the competitors boots did and I love that there are only 2 sizes (Pony and Horse) and that even though there are only 2 sizes they have still fit every horse I have put them on to this date! they keep my horses legs cool and dry and I have yet to find anything that gets between the boot and the leg and causes irritation (grass/sand/mud/ice/snow). They are fool proof to put on because of the way the stitching is you can always tell if they are on right!
Dislikes: They where a bit hard to apply at first because the Velcro was so new and really sticky, and I find that sometimes the boot twists when you put it on but it is simple to correct you just slide it back to where it is suppose to be! There isn't much I don't like about these boots! I will not be going back to the competitors boots.
Quality: I like the construction of these boots! they are sturdy but still flexible and they have no spots where they would rub the leg. The Velcro is high quality and very very strong. over all I am very happy with the quality.
Summary: I love these boots to pieces. everyone else in my pony club is happy with them and I can tell you I will probably never use a competitors boot again! they fit my horse wonderfully and he doesn't seem bothered by them at all! they are fool proof so I don't need to worry about messing up my horses tendons (we where guaranteed that they would not in any way harm their tendons and ligaments). Over all this is one of my favorite pieces of tack!
